Nemertines
n.; n. pl. [Gr. Nemertes, a nereid, sea nymph]
A phylum of unsegmented, bilaterally symmetrical acoelomate worms, commonly called ribbon worms, that are predatory carnivores or scavengers that frequently use their eversible proboscis to catch prey.
